We are embarking on the most important project of our third year at Eikon. I have chosen motion design to create the pilot episode of an animated series.
This is an opportunity to unleash our imagination and channel all the knowledge we have acquired so far, starting with the theme of “utopia.”
We have 10 weeks to bring this project to life.
Let me introduce you to Rut, Glenn, and Pata, the characters in my story.
They live in a small mountain town. When Glenn sets out to find a gift for his friend, he unwittingly awakens malevolent entities lurking in the cold. As night falls and festival-goers begin to celebrate the solstice, they will soon realize that these entities are already among them…
Here, in addition to the preliminary drawings shown on the right, is a partial view of the episode’s pre-production.
My goal was to mix real footage with my frame by frame animations.
In the end, it took me two days of filming and more than 1,270 drawings to complete the project!
